How to join the task force
There are four steps between your application and your first operation, and it usually takes a week or two depending on when training runs.
Application to first op
- 01
Submit your application
It takes about five minutes on the personnel portal. The profile you create becomes your service record, so your rank, courses and awards all hang off it.
- 02
Meet a recruiter on Discord
Post in #find-a-recruiter and someone will walk you through the unit, answer your questions and get the modpack installed. You don't need to book a time.
- 03
Paramarine Recruit Training
PRT covers movement, comms and formations. You are not expected to know any of it beforehand, which is what the course is for.
- 04
Your first operation
You'll slot into a rifle squad for the Sunday op. After that the Saturday courses open up, covering marksmanship, armor, aviation, medical and JTAC.
Main op SUN · 8PM ET · FTX TUE · Recon THU (MSO) · PRT FRI · Courses SAT

Do I need milsim experience?
No. Recruit training covers movement, communications, and how our ops run. A lot of the unit arrived having never done this before.
What do I need to play?
Arma 3 on PC, a microphone, and our modpack, “Paramarine Milsim Core” on the Steam Workshop, which installs in one click. In-game voice runs on TeamSpeak. Discord handles everything either side of that.
When does the unit play?
Sunday 8PM Eastern is the main operation and the one to build your week around. Field training runs Tuesdays, MSO recon ops Thursdays, recruit training Fridays, and courses Saturdays, all at 8PM Eastern.
Do I have to attend everything?
No. Sunday is the operation everyone turns out for. Tuesday and Saturday are there when you want to train or qualify for something new.
I'm not in North America. Can I still join?
Yes, as long as 8PM Eastern lands somewhere you can play. We have members outside North America. Check what that time is where you live before you apply.
What role do I start in?
0311 Rifleman, in a rifle squad. Entry-level billets like automatic rifleman and grenadier are open from the start; marksman, corpsman, armor crew, pilot, and MSO come later, through courses and selection.
What is MSO?
Marine Special Operator. It's a second role on top of your normal billet, running its own recon operations on Thursdays. Selection is hard, but anyone in the unit can try out for it.
Is the rank structure real?
Yes. Promotions have requirements: time in grade, points, and course completions, all tracked in the personnel system. See the ranks page for the exact thresholds.
How strict is it?
During the op we keep to the chain of command, run briefings and hold radio discipline. Outside of it, it's a group of people who have been playing games together for ten years.
What happens right after I apply?
A recruiter picks up your application and reaches out on Discord to schedule recruit training. Posting in #find-a-recruiter right after you apply speeds it up.

Never done milsim before? Our guide to Arma 3 milsim covers how an operation runs, what recruit training involves, and the mistakes most people make in their first few weeks.
Applications take about five minutes.
